  • Fiona is an experienced ER, Critical Care RN, & CPR instructor who is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care for her patients and mentoring the next generation of healthcare workers. She is a firm believer that we don’t rise to the occasion but rather fall to the level of our training and as such actively seeks out opportunities to further her knowledge base and improve her practice. Her work experience spans from Level 1 trauma centers to pre-hospital event staffing. When she’s not saving lives, she enjoys reading, everything outdoors, Crossfit, a good cup of coffee, cooking, and adventuring with friends and family.

  • Throughout a 22 year career as a ‘911’ professional and educator, I’ve always strived to help people during their most emergent times by seeing them through their final moments or ensuring their continued wellbeing. During this time, I received 5 medic of the year awards from different agencies and scores of prehospital commendations. I was finally unraveled by Covid-19 and burnout by the end of 2021. Today I focus on diverse emergent needs by expanding my message as a  teacher, educator, writer/editor, and mentoring both new and seasoned first responders and medical providers.

  • My name is Liam Van Dorn and I have found my way to OMG CPR after 12 years of working in 911 response and EMS. I heard a decade long career as a firefighter in California before transitioning to a career in mental health where I currently work as a Mobile Crisis Responder. During my time as a firefighter in addition to emergency response I was responsible for planning and implementing training programs for new hires, volunteers and annual refresher training for seasoned individuals alike. I have been providing on site EMS care for private events as well as fire prevention and safety consulting since 2020.

I met Brian Hildebrand working at an event in 2022 and was immediately impressed with his ability to bring overwhelming calm and professionalism to any situation we encountered. Very rarely have I had the pleasure of working so seamlessly with an individual as I did with Brian. It is with great excitement that I have the opportunity to continue working with him while bringing you the highest level of care, service and education possible.

Allow us a Minute

We know life can change in a minute.

Although, sometimes a minute can seem like an eternity. Sometimes there is one person needed at that instant and at other times, no one is there. The only difference is, at that exact moment, one either has the knowledge to save

a life or one does not.

In an ideal world there is always someone there, that one person to help redefine fate itself. These first responders are the ones who run toward an emergency. They hold fear at bay and save lives at a moments notice.

They are the ones who rise to the occasion, using their knowledge to act on their instinct to help. They offer others a true second chance on life.

Brian Hildebrand

THE 3 PURPOSES:

1. What defines these life changing moments is how well we rise to an occasion.

2. What we know and do on these occasions ultimately defines us.

3. Knowledge is confidence and that's what makes the difference.

These are the 3 purposes of OMGcpr. We focus on the people that love life as they are the ones who give a damn. We know how to show others how to help when a minute makes all all the difference and when an "OMG" moment becomes something very real.

About

Brian Hildebrand

I stumbled into EMS at an early age and it was the events of 9/11/2001 that promoted me to Paramedic that day.  When Flight 587 crashed in the Far Rockaways of NYC, I responded to this event after an overnight shift, and when completed, I went to my scheduled classes to finish my schooling that night.

Anthrax, SARS, MERS, Zika, Ebola, MCIs, Riots, Hurricanes.

“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.”
